I'm looking for a top-action Conn B-flat tenor horn (an instrument with roughly the same proportions as a modern-day "British baritone") from the teens or twenties (20th century). Conn tenor horns from this period looked like this:
I'm NOT interested in Conn E-flat alto horns or B-flat baritones/euphoniums. For reference, Conn tenor horns have either a 9.25" bell (earlier ones) or a 10" bell (later ones). During this period Conn altos usually have an 8.25" bell, smaller bore baritones have a 10.5" bell, and regular bore baritones/euphoniums have an 11" bell.
I'm aware of the fact that there is currently a Conn tenor horn on eBay, but it's an older model from the 19th century and thus not what I'm looking for.
If you've got one of these that you'd sell, or know someone who might, please let me know: funkhoss@gmail.com.
Thanks!

I'm assuming you've seen these two on eBay:
- a front action one $250
- a top-action one without the upper bows in the circuits $350 https://www.ebay.com/itm/373670355377

Re: WTB: Conn B-flat tenor (baritone) horn
I'm curious if you ever located a Conn Bb tenor horn. If not, try cities that had US Army cavalry bands. Tenor horns were easier to play on horseback than trombones. Played the same part.

PS I played a Yamaha 301S British-bore baritone in a brass band. Same idea, modern horn.

Re: WTB: Conn B-flat tenor (baritone) horn
I found an older, smaller bell model earlier this year.
Even being a smaller Conn model, it plays significantly bigger than the Yamaha you mentioned. It's more like a modern Besson.
