Phil Parker London Tuba Mouthpieces

Hi,

After playing the trombone for the last 48 years ( 18 of those professionally) I have recently bought my self a 4 valve Imperial EEb due to a chronic shoulder complaint that leaves me unable to hold the trombone for too long.

I'm really enjoying playing again and trying to get to grips ( literally at times) with my new 'baby'
Although I had quite a bit of work done on it like bringing it up to pitch , de dented and having the old vales swapped out for sovereign pistons I have kept the mouthpiece reciever original . I was looking to change it to a modern large shank one but following a conversation with UK Tuba guru Mike Johnson I'm glad I didn't as said they play better with the factory original.

This obviously limits my options in terms of a mouthpieces and a following trying a Wick 3 ( too Flat) and a shaved down Bach 24AW ( too wide!!) a friend gave me an old mouthpiece made by Phil Parker in London that is stamped 26. This feels great to my chops if a a little on the small side so I started wondering if they ever made anything bigger in the range?
I've tried to find out some info about these on the net have drawn a complete blank, so wondered if anyone on here can tell me anything about them?

Thanks

Carlos

Maybe give them a call? Parkers have been around forever so they may be able to help out...
