This Tuba Tuesday the Museum features a Douglas, E flat tuba, 3 piston, ca.1900.11 3/4” bell and a .610 bore.

Hugh Dow Douglas (1833-1887) was a dealer and possibly maker as well as a performer and promoter of brass bands. He was a dealer for Thibouville and Millereau instruments. It is likely that his son, John Gray Douglas joined his father in the business
