I've never seen one like this before.
Air goes through the valves in order from 1 - 3 - 4 - 2, as best I can tell. I wonder how different valves 1 and 3 feel from 2 and 4, given the difference in linkage lengths?

It’s a small BBb for sure. The valve layout looks like it was primarily an exercise in innovation. Very interesting horn.

I didn't realize bones Malone was a real person, I only barely tangentially remember the name from the movie. Is he still alive, or is this a selloff of his estate? Is there more at DM from "the collection"?

It’s a BBb per the ad. I’d reckon they are right. The specs seem to agree.
There are a bunch of old bones there on consignment. I think a Selmer Mark VI baritone saxophone was there also but probably got snatched up quickly.
It sounds like he’s still alive. Maybe he’s just thinning the herd and converting things to cash so he can do some fun stuff? Dunno.
