Well, my lease is up at the end of June and it will not be renewed. So, production will end on June 24 and will start again in August? Or September?... I will keep folks updated as I learn more.

I’d like to have a leather bag made for my York 712. Is there enough difference in the fit of a bag made from (my) measurements versus one made with the horn there to make it worth the drive up there from SoCal?

Does that include sousaphone bags?

--And, yes, the plan is to find a new space to rent in or near San Francisco. It will spacious, well-lit, with ample free parking in a beautiful neighborhood with lots of hip lunch spots. I can't wait to find it!

Warehouse space going further towards Point Richmond might be less expensive. But with the cost of gasoline, maybe looking in southeast S.F. might make some sense. Just a thought. Good luck. I'm sure glad I have your wonderful bag for my Neptune.

You are right on the money, Barry. I burn 2 gallons of gas, a $7 toll, and 1.5 hours of commute time every day that I go to Richmond. The only potential spaces I see are in southeast SF and areas down around SFO.

K, it’s late August now. Go back to work.

It’s a crazy world and not being able to find affordable living and / or working space in some places is all part of the madness.

A friend who lived in California moved away some decades back, he had a bunch of reasons but high prices and increasing population density were amongst them.
