The absurd answer is no.

We have everything from really nice expertly-serviced Fox bassoons to shiny used name-brand trumpets - and everything in-between, though...

‘ looking for a matched pair of contra alto clarinets…?? Try us.😉

This probably sounds insanely idiotic to most, but we are a bit concerned that if we had a website, we would have to hire employees again.

I guess we would rather put in 12 hours, than put in 8 hours, Yes pay someone else to put in 8 hours, and then go back and put in another hour to administer to being an employer - plus 3 more hours straightening out what the employee did wrong or unsatisfactorily...
...and then, there are all the above-and-beyond-wages insurance and governmental costs of hiring employees as well.

Reminds me of a discussion I had with my high school colleague a couple years ago (I teach middle school).

Me: "Can I interest you in an alto clarinet?"
Him: "No. Can I interest you in a SECOND alto clarinet?"

They definitely have a time and place...not in my middle school doors though. Actually went to high school with someone who STARTED ON and WAS exclusively an alto clarinet player

yeah...
If someone wants to sell us a batch of used instruments – and alto clarinets are included – we offer less for the batch than were they not included...

...but what are offered above are CONTRA alto clarinets.

you know: those things that add some cool-sounding “grit“ to the tuba resonance

Aside from scaring off Sandinista customers with the Contra Alto Clarinets, you've put off a shy fool like me who just wants to browse an inventory list that hopefully has pictures without having to deal with salespeople.

If it's working out for you, and the website would be more hassle than it's worth, that's cool though. So many businesspeople are just terrified to think outside the box and do things their own way because they feel a need to follow the herd. Too often, the herd charges off a cliff.

I know @bloke will post instruments from time to time on his Facebook page.

I’m guessing if you email him, he has a list of what is on hand. Based on the other post, this might be a useful barrier to people that aren’t really buyers?

It’d be interesting to hear about customers from someone like @Matt Walters that might have some real doozies, but those should stay off a forum for all parties involved.

Actually I think some of those stories would be awesome, names redacted if necessary.

An interesting theory about shooing away non-buyers. Had not thought of that.
