Happy Tuba Tuesday. Today, the Museum features the first instrument in our collection….a Cerveny, BB flat helicon, 4 rotary, ca.1910.

Bell Diameter is 18 1/8” & Bore Size is .855/.820.

“*SOLE AGENT FOR U.S. AND CANADA LOUIS VITAR CHICAGO, ILL. 204 WABASH AVE.* / KOENIGGRATS / (PREMIERES RECOMPENSES / V.F. CERVENEY / & FILS) / PARIS 1889 / CHICAGO 1893″ on seal on bell. There are also two inner seals that overlap within the larger seal. ” EXPOSITION UNIVERSELLE / 1889″ on first inner seal. “Hristopher Colvmbvs OCT XII / [illegible]” on second inner seal.
