Alexander 163 CC

I have finally decided to sell my Alexander 163 CC. Asking $6500 and open to a reasonable offers.
Open partials on this one are better than any other Alexander I have played. The G at the bottom of the staff for me is great open as is the E in the staff. I do use two alternate fingerings on D and C# in the staff. That is basically it for the pitch adjustments. The first and fourth slide are very well aligned and easy to move if you would like.
It has five valves and a slightly uncommon 5th valve set up. The fifth valve on this tuba is a flat minor second with a minor third extension on the tuba if you prefer that set up. This give you a great low C# and F# fingered 45 and you still get a really solid low F 245. The only note that is not really available with this set up is C# right above the fundamental which is easy with the Miraphone style minor third set up.
The linkage was updated about 10 years ago. It comes with an Altieri gig bag that has seen some use but is very serviceable. Tuba is located near Grand Rapids, MI. I can ship at your expense (will not send for trial) and would be willing to drive some to facilitate not shipping this tuba.
