Where to buy alignment felts/washers

I know it's been asked before, but I don't remember...
Where can I get a handful of felts/washers/stuff to do my own valve alignment? Local hardware store wasn't helpful.

It might not be the case in the USA but here in the UK I use eBay for such consumables.
