really nice peeps here

Besides the monitors, I vote for Brett, Blake, Jason...

... and quite a few others.

I'll stop with the monitors and those three, so others can add people to this list in their posts.

I haven't spoken to, met in person, or have done business with a kook here yet! :bow2:

With very few exceptions, I have had great interactions with everybody on the forum.

Outside of those already mentioned (me excluded!), I'd like to nominate @MN_TimTuba, with whom I have done business and who just seems like a really nice guy.

Also fellow UK alum @Jperry1466, who helped me out a ton with a ton of great arrangements when I started up this tuba ensemble thing I am doing.

And @humBell, who is very generous with his time and tubas.

I have met @ronr in person, in his home, and can report that he's a fine man and truly a nice guy.
And there's also @Mary Ann , as nice a person as you'll find.
I've also met @Lee Stofer twice in person, along with numerous texts and phone calls, and if there's a nicer guy out there I haven't met him yet.
Finally, let me add our Resident Genius, @Rick Denney . I always appreciate that he can translate his experience and genius in a way that "we of common IQ" can understand.
PS. @bort2.0 has already been mentioned; I consider him to be a great friend that I just haven't met, yet.
Tim

Thank you Tim, for the kind words. And ditto. I’ve met Brett a couple times, once on the way to the MN State Fair (he’s responsible for my profile picture) and I’ve always enjoyed talking to him. There’s another guy from MN who plays the most gorgeous silver helicon I’ve ever seen, I met him at TC in St. Paul. Sorry sir but I can’t remember your name. And of course Joe, my personal tuba broker.

Speaking of nice peeps, anybody notice that three of the six posts (so far) come from people from Minnesota?

Thank you all for the kind words... Any chance a few of you you could tell my wife how great I am? She doesn't seem to believe me when **I** say it.

Does your wife get annoyed that you only like rotary valve European CC tubas, too? I'm on her side.

I've parsed your quote to be more accurate to my situation.

I think that the entire readership here, or very close to it, are really nice peeps. I've had the honor of doing business with several people
here, and enjoy reading posts whenever I'm not covered-up with repair work. And, even if the Bloke from western 10-A-C occasionally comes off as a curmudgeon, he's really a great guy, and someone that you should get to know better.

All the times I've bugged Joe or Lee -- even when they weren't selling me anything, or I changed my mind -- have been super great, exhibiting great patience and explanations, and been really interesting/informative.

Speaking of which, I owe Joe some dough. D'oh!

OPEN ADMISSION:

Embarrassingly, I was reminded by one mouthpiece person that they had done me a favor (which actually involved money) a while back, and "we would eventually work it out in trade".

Yes...I had FORGOTTEN !!! :red:

This is precisely why I don't like to swap favors UNLESS it's right then-and-there...and not "later/sometime".
I'd MUCH prefer to be "stiffed" than to "stiff" someone...and so many people are so VERY nice, that they would just let it go. :wall:

This is a fine group of folks. I’ve done business numerous times with Joe, Lee, Matt W, and many others. I’ve been able to become text/phone/email friends with many, and quite a few in real life. I hope to meet many more.

And I’m thankful this place exists and is so well-managed (in the best kind of hands-off way).
