For anyone looking, great deal on a CC

Post by bisontuba »

Hi-
This is a general announcement for anyone looking for a F tuba.
Note: Lacquer F is sold...

Hi-
This is a general announcement for anyone looking to buy a F tuba.

As some of you probably know, I am a 'satellite office' for Big Mouth Brass tubas through Rob Philips of Buckeye Brass in Columbus, who now distributes them.
I have two demo BMB F tubas here...one silver, one lacquer. Rob in Columbus has 7 or 8 BMB F tubas. All F tubas are 4 piston, 1 rotor.
Rob has decided to have a screaming super F Tuba Sale!
The sale is for BOTH silver & lacquer..you pick...with hard case, gig bag, and mthpce ...for $3000 each plus shipping!!!
It is a screaming deal for tuba players.
Contact myself or Robb at Buckeye Brass in Columbus (buckeyebrassandwinds.com) for this once in a lifetime pricing on F tubas.

Tnx

PS. Also have a screaming demo CC & too.

I haven’t been by Rob’s shop in a few months. Did he end up doing a lot of the upgrades and fine tuning to them and the rubber band upgrade to the 5th?

Any chance of getting some pictures (or better yet video) posted of the replacement linkage?

What, a steel spring instead of the custom Richard Barth Elastomeric High-Hysteresis Self-Damping Valve Return system?

I am really glad those are piston tubas and not rotaries because otherwise I'd have to slap my hand as it reached for the credit card.

There's a pretty little 180 on the normal for-sale board, if that helps.

Thanks, but nope....unless I get something like a used Bubbie newer version, my tuba days are over. I can't lift them any more.
