I have a BBb Couesnon 3 valve tuba, model 2717 is the closest on the website. I am really enjoying this tuba. I do not need to play below 4th ledger line F in the group in play with and it is light enough to play outdoors.

I wish someone here in the US would buy this and bring it by my place to try out. It's very affordable, but it seems like such a hassle for a curiosity. Any one want a trip to Shenandoah-land?

You know you need one. Why not just get a new Courtois? Make it worth the trouble.

They aren't a very novel playing experience ime, at least with 4 valves. Just a funny looking euphonium.

If you don't find the duet posted above compelling as to the difference, how about this?
Find a euphonium solo for example at minute 33, saxhorn solo at minute 38. American style bell front baritones at 42. Also where you're in there, if you aren't going to listen to the whole thing, 53 is a rather sweet moment.
To me, it's a different instrument. (Also those bell front baritones have a fairly distinct sound, though I expect they're pushing the difference there.)
