Hello- I was hoping someone could help me identify the specific model of tuba I have. I know it's a CC piggy, but I don't know much beyond that. I bought it way back in college around 1991 used from a high school friend who became a professional tuba player. I played it throughout college in band and orchestra, and off and on since but mostly for Tuba Christmas. I, clearly, am not a professional tuba player, but I enjoyed my time and still do when I can. It was well loved before I got it. I've gotten the rotors worked on, and as others have noted, it plays a bit sharp. I found a number on the rotor bridge- 2841, which I assume is a serial number of some sort. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Easy. The linkage identifies it as late 70's, early 80's.
I bet it plays great. Those were great years for cerveny

Re: Help identifying my Cerveny Piggy
Thanks! She does, but I've always felt she deserves a better, more dedicated player. Still, she gets a good amount of attention at Tuba Christmas, and it's great to be able to play with my kids as they reach high school. My daughter somehow made top band 2nd chair French Horn in her 1st 9th grade audition, but there's still hope for my 5th grade son. :)
