My new Eastman 825vg is a keeper, so my other big b flat needs a new home. It’s big. Very tall. I would call it a 6/4, but wrapped differently than the York style. I just bet it has at least the same interior volume as a York 6/4. Mine has the bigger bell than most of these-19.75’’. It’s not marked miraphone. Bell says Musik Barth Stuttgart. I have emails between myself and the previous owner and Eva Staudinger at miraphone confirming. Miraphone made stencils for a retailer in Stuttgart.they are more plain. Less engraving, nickel trim, and no garland.I had a main tuning slide stick and an extra 2nd valve slide thumb ring installed to address intonation, primarily flat f right below staff and sharp b flats above and below staff, and sharp low b natural and low e below staff. I used in my per-service orchestra for a season and a half with no eyebrow raise from conductor or colleagues concerning pitch.its raw brass with some significant dents in bottom bow, otherwise dent free. One linkage screw tries to wiggle out, but otherwise fine. This is a lot of German Kaiser for the money. As always, local pickup and cash preferred.pics to follow.
