This was NOT a special effects pic, but was a result of the lighting in a casino's performance venue in Mississippi.

The clarinet player (polka band gig - high-rollers drawing for a trip for two to Europe plus buffet dinner) just turned sideways, (being a band director) noticed the magnitude, said "WOW!", pulled out his phone, and shot this pic.

The current owner has seen this pic before.
Enough of me was hidden so that I didn't ugly-up the pic all that much.

Cool! I am lucky enough to have one of these! From sometime in the 60's I believe, I haven't researched it. I am not the first owner, but I LOVE this tuba! I found it sitting in Dana Hofer's shop in the suburbs of Chicago. He had cleaned and overhauled it for someone who thought they would learn CC fingering but gave up. As a life-long BBb player, I jumped at the opportunity and now switch off, depending on the ensemble and concert repertoire.

Of all the tubas that have passed through Bloke-place... this is the one that I really wish I could have purchased at the time.
