B&M 4-valve body only

I'm passing on this, because of the condition of the pistons, and the fact that I would have to "spend" one of my bells on it...

...and I seem to remember that the sixth partial is pretty high with these...

...but one of you may not be so picky...

Would have been a toss-up to fix it as is or use as a donor valve/slide block for a frankenhorner.

With prices as they are today, with a valve rebuild and r/t shipping it would have defined the (overall) expense as having been quite an expense (not to mention the dent removal - even though I can do that without charging myself)...

...and then (again) there would be sacrificing one of my saved-back bells...

...and - once I had something to sell - "It's only a B-flat".. :eyes:

The pistons didn't look too bad to me:

Kinda grimy/limey, but are they worn?

It looks re-lacquered (as well) to me, which I view as a red flag.

I leave a ton of money on the table/laying on the ground (pick your analogy)...even some that others like that I just don't like.

I just don't like selling stuff that's worn/buffed thin/whatever.

It seems as if my name tends to follow tubas through multiple owners.
