Sellmansberg II - II

I actually sorta like the Sellmansberg II, but (well...) for ME PERSONALLY (and I'm sincerely hoping that those of you who bought them LIKE what you have...and THANK-YOU for purchasing them) I'm finding "not enough resistance"...so (just as @cjk sorta said to me privately...) he might have bought one, had the throat opening been smaller.
I'm now thinking that (again: for me) this thing might rock the world with a smaller throat opening (more like "typical"...something like 8.1mm to 8.2mm).
I don't need that many orders of these for a "run".
THAT HAVING BEEN SAID...a "run" can be only ONE SHANK SIZE...so - if I'm going to offer BOTH euro AND standard shank sizes - I'll need minimum order numbers of EACH shank size.
Y'all let me know if you're interested in a smaller-throat-opening version (everything else will be the same).
price will be the same "introductory" as before...(It was $150 plus postage, was it not...??)
If orders continue to come in - in a "small but steady stream", I'll hold off ordering them.
When/if it seems as though just about everyone interested has reached out, I'll probably run them (possibly with a spare or two made).
Just as before, I'll ask for (at least) 1/2 paying in advance (most of you simply choose to pay all of it), and (yes) to get these in queue at the machine shop might take a couple of months (THOUGH only changing the throat size will GREATLY speed up the process, as I will forgo the prototype/testing/approval phase, this time...but they WILL need to wait to be in queue, and then polished/shipped off to be silver plated/in queue to be plated/shipped back.)

I'd be down.
I also snagged a used Shallowberger recently (the first of either that I have seen on the advertised used market). Really enjoying it on my Yamaha 621 clone F tuba if I am feeling feisty.

@bloke
I assume this has the #2 rim?
If so, at what inner diameter?
Silver plated brass?
does that make it the Sellmansberg 4?

I'll post some more junk later.
Tomorrow at lunch time, I have to head out of town to play some really wild stuff. I need to look at it some more tonight and mark some extra cues in my part. I'll be back Sunday.

@bloke , I'll go for one as well- American shank, please, unless you need to fill out the order- then, one of each.

Thanks guys. A few more and I'll have them run. The minimum is not all that many, and they offered me free setup if I only want to change the throat size.

Sounds to me like someone you'll want to continue doing business with.

A few more orders expressed here, and I'll be able to call them in...
I would sort of like for this to happen, if it will. I tend to suspect that it might end up being the best mouthpiece with a Helleberg II shaped cup yet. (??)
I don't know if you folks can tell, but I'm trying to see if there's a way that I myself might embrace a Helleberg cup mouthpiece.

I'm thinking 32.9mm...and you already know it's a #2 profile rim, yes?
...I just need to (either) dig out my sheet (or) remember to bring the calipers into the house.
edit for
@cjk ...It's really difficult to get calipers right up to the very brink of not having anything to catch against...but I'm getting something around 1.295"...so yeah...it's strongly indicating 32.9mm

yet - now that I finally measure, it appears to be larger...
I handed the machine shop the thing that I cut down on my lathe that "felt good" to me, and without measuring it...
...and now (FINALLY) after simply having it duplicated (and checking it "by feel" against the prototype (and - if you recall - sending it back for review), a production one is measuring what I just reported in the previous edit...about 1.295" ...about .005" or .006" radius different from my original plan...not much...
If not clearly stated, I made up the prototype (cutting stuff from that old mouthpiece) to "what felt/sounded good", and not via measuring tools...simply by cutting/testing.
Again...Lathe programs cut accurately (based on what's programmed into them), but it's more difficult to go back (particularly trying to catch that VERY top edge) and measure across the tippy-top of a cup.
It makes sense that 1.295" would 'feel good' to me, because that's the i.d. of my F tuba mouthpiece cup.
(F.B. uses a 33.2", just fwiw)
I hope that my hunch is right about "a smaller throat" (with the same everything else).
The existing mouthpiece (in my view) is really good, but I'd like to see if I can (now) make it be a little bit less work to use.
...Previously (as one maker's Hb-II throat is smallish, another's throat is "medium-ish", and one that someone decided to label "Jacobs" has a "large-ish throat") I thought I would go with "large-ish"...but (maybe??...perhaps??) "medium-ish" is best.

In the next day or two, I'm going to see if I have "just enough" for a minimal run.
I may be re-contacting some people...
(The paper list I made seems to be "buried".)
thnx !

OK...
I'd like to go ahead with a small run of STANDARD SHANK with a SMALLER THROAT than the first run.
--------------------------------------------------------
I could actually run some EURO shank with VERY FEW orders of those, but (candidly) it would need to be at least five.
--------------------------------------------------------
...so - if you're ready to put you name down (for one or more) STANDARD shank (and I'll CONSIDER Euro shank...JUST IN CASE there's barely enough interest)
Send me a p.m. or email with your name/address/phone/email and how many of what.
I'm ready to make a "serious" list...and (again) this will be a small run, so I'll put the order in SOON.
@cjk
I measured more carefully, and it seems to be just the same (rim i.d.) as my own #2 profile 32.9 rim (that I use with my F tuba).
...and yes (if not made clear earlier) - it's the #2 profile as well.

I've been pulled away from this and need to get back on it (sorry!). I need to also to reformulate my list of interested parties.
