Picked up another horn today.

Today we ventured to a craft show about an hour away and visited a couple nearby antique shops. My son found an olds ambassador euphonium that is in good condition. Mouthpiece, the valves work, ( we were playing it in the shop) most of th slides are free, not badly dented. Just the bell is a little rough but I think it will smooth out well enough. Upright bell. With a case, that's in terrible condition. $85. Score.
I have never been a fan of euphonium, but I have thought it might be handy to have one and be able to play it well enough. Along this thought line, I would prefer an upright bell which seems to be kind of rare for the front action horns. This was just a happy find.
Second, my son who plays percussion has been interested in doubling on tuba and has been playing on my tubas but really struggling. The eb tuba seemed to work best for him. However, he really liked playing this euphonium and it seems to suit him better. He's excited about this horn.
I havent done any research yet. Looking forward to cleaning it up and seeing what my son can do with it.
Pictures soon.
