It looks as though someone stuck a short action lower mouth pipe on that instrument. Am I seeing any bracing on the lower mouthpipe?

Hopefully, that one is one of the exceptions, but most stuff from that era needs a nice big fat expensive valve rebuild, and the casings are often too warbled out to purchase aftermarket Allied pistons and just drop them in.

Were it that the case was in better condition, I might be more optimistic about the fitment of the pistons in their casings. Typically, people who tear stuff up like that also tend to not oil valves.

The two main reasons why people don't respond on Craigslist/Facebook are because either they sold the thing right away and just don't want to go through the rigmarole of unlisting it or they don't want to ship it.

32K...??
' other than the 20K lower mouthpipe, it sure looks like it to me.
