1922 Boosey & Co. Imperial Model 4v Eb comp $1,500

I am selling this tuba to simplify my bass tuba situation as I move to an all-F tuba setup.
For sale is a 1922 Boosey & Co. Solbron "Imperial Model" compensating Eb tuba. 15" bell, four valves. This is the precursor to the Boosey & Hawkes Imperial. Thick silver plate is 95%, a few dents and dings as would be expected with a 102 year old tuba. Valves are a bit worn, but I am able to still get pop pulling slides, and a thicker valve oil is also helpful. This tuba has been artfully converted from high pitch to standard pitch and plays just barely up to A=440. Small British shank receiver. No case or bag is included.
Asking $1,500 plus shipping. I do have the original box this came in from the UK and can pack it up and ship at your risk and expense. I would greatly prefer pickup in southeastern CT or I can meet you in the New England or NYC Metro area. Please PM me or email beanhillbrass at gmail dot com.
