Help me Tuba Conn 15j
Hello, good evening, I wanted to know how I check if the valves on my conn 15j tuba are original. Does the number on them need to be the same as the number engraved on the machine? Sorry, I'm new to this area. Only one valve has the same number that is engraved on the machine, the other two are not the same as those on the machine. Does that mean the other two are not her originals? Are they from another conn 15j tuba?

Re: Help me Tuba Conn 15j
I may be wrong but, I think a whole bunch of the front action small bore Conn tubas (that were made beginning in the late 1970 's) use the same pistons, including the 5J - which is still made, these days. It seems logical to me that if only one of them has a number on it matching your serial number, that the other two have been replaced.
Having noticed that such things are foregone these days by most manufacturers, I suspect that almost no pistons on no models by no makers these days are stamped with serial numbers. A few decades ago, yeah.. they were probably still doing that.

"clarifying doubt"...
I really like that expression, and don't know if I've ever heard it before. I'm wondering if you just coined it. I may have to save that in my mind and use it when appropriate. Thank you.

the expression "clarify doubt" is used a lot here in Brazil, that's why I said "clarify doubt" I'm using Google translate to make my posts, sorry if my way of writing is wrong, I'm Brazilian... but I was very happy with your answer, it helped me a lot, thank you very much again.
