Good size coins for rotor paddle extensions

On my Alex 163 I'm thinking about getting some coins to solder onto the paddles to aid in leverage. The horn is pre-WWII, but Weimar-era hyperinflated 500 Mark coins (which I think would be cool) are aluminum and would be hard, if not impossible, to affix. Go later into the 1930s and you start getting coins with swastikas, which I also obviously want to avoid.

Maybe a set of postwar 2 Deutsches Mark coins? Maybe too big?

Any experience?

it depends on how spread the paddles are. Quarter size are always a safe bet, but In certain situations I've seen half dollars

Pretty close together, similar to your pic, so maybe something quarter-ish sized would be best.
