Serenade for Tuba & Piano

Post by Tim Jackson »

Is anyone familiar with this piece:
Serenade for Tuba and Piano by William Schmidt

I just acquired a stack of music and thought this looked interesting. I think I also have it somewhere in my library.

I'm not seeing a recording online. It looks like a simple, short, multi-movement piece, but does look sort of interesting. I did find a recording of Schmidt's Sonata for Tuba and Piano.

I'm going to read through it next week with my pianist buddy.

Did anyone perform or record this one?

Tim

Looks like none other than Tommy Johnson recorded it! Now I really want to hear it.
