Hi TubaForum Folks,
Hope everyone is doing well. Can anyone describe the difference in the Laskey F and K cups? I see they are both listed as mid-shallow, I'm just curious. Probably not moving from my Blokepiece, but am curious.

Re: Laskey K and F cups
Per the descriptions (not the chart) Laskey provides for both lines, the K cup is a bowl shaped cup that's deeper than the shallow C cup, giving F and Eb tubas more presence, but not as deep as the G cup (for CC and BBb). Its rim is a different shape from the other lines, but they don't say how...
The F cup is in fact a medium shallow funnel that's "approx 1/3" shallower than the medium deep H cup with which it shares a similar shape. It can work well on both bass tubas (as the K cup does but likely a different tone) and York style 6/4's. Standard Laskey rim (flat top, defined bite).
Hope that helps...

Re: Laskey K and F cups
Since they came out, the "K" cup Laskey mouthpieces are the winner almost 100% of the time they are play tested against the "F" cup.
