See the Nirschl...
Seize the Nirschl...

And i'll stop my seedy taste in humor before i get put out to sea...
or worse: a seal of approval.

Interesting tuba. A minor amount of work to polish it -- and un-plant-stand the case -- might really make this thing pop and grab some attention. This is like, "oh yeah, here's a Nirschl..."

Re: Nirschl CC
I forget the history, and the disputed versions of just how handmade the various models are. All are handmade to some extent, some have all the smaller bows handmade as well. From Tubenet, I learned that the engraving on the bell is inconclusive about what is what... And Walter himself didn't have it all clear either ...?
All of the Nirschl tubas are extremely well made. Some have better intonation than others, and some are more poofy than others, too.
If it was on the other side of North Dakota close to me, maybe I'd give it some thought, but ... Dang that's a big state!

You can stop by Wall Drug on the way...
It feels strange, but i want to say the question came up last week on a new fangled online video chat if there were tubas in North Dakota, which i felt sure there were, but didn't recall having first hand knowledge of any. Well, now i do!

Never mind. It is in South Dakota... Back to square one regarding the theoretical existence of North Dakota tubas...
If winter weren't coming, and this here pandemic, i'd say enjoy Custer State Park as an excuse to get it. Some fine tourist attractions there abouts. Really liked the huge hot springs pool as a kid. And Harney is the highest point east of the Rockies... which isn't as big a deal considering how close the Rockies actually are. Er... Black Elk Peak. I can't do nothin' right tonight.

I humbly apologize then for being slow to post it here, I'd been loosely watching it for a while, and coulda posted it earlier, giving folk more than half a day to do something.
