Yamaha case parts

Post by travisd »

Anyone need parts from a crappy Yamaha hard case before it goes to the landfill? Some of the latches are original (stamped yamaha) while others are probably replacements. Wheels are there and roll. Cover shipping and I'll put whatever pieces you want in a small USPS flat-rate box and send them your way. Otherwise it goes to the landfill in a couple of weeks.

I'm wondering that IF you take a circular saw and cut around any pieces hardware worth saving, if you take a picture of everything you cut (with the crappy wood/plastic squares around each item) if you could SELL the entire batch of stuff to some band director on the facebook band director site - OR some individual on the huge facebook tuba/euphonium site.

Removing all of that stuff (completely) would waste too much of your time...Let the buyer struggle with that.

If there's $30 worth of stuff there, price it at $30, etc...

I could care less about making $ off of it, to be honest, but if it can help someone out I figure it's worth a little time out in the garage messing with power tools. If I don't attach value to it, then hopefully whomever wants the stuff won't feel the need to argue about what they end up with.

Of course, if anyone is on the MD/DC/VA area and wants to come get the whole thing, I'm happy to leave it on the porch for them, but the plastic case is cracked (chunks missing) and it what I would call "poor" condition. It at least got the (already bruised) '641 home from the auction site, but that's where it's journey will end :)
