(Er... for those of you unfamiliar with the term... here is a parody of the original source material: )

I guess I haven't updated that. It's a Rudy Meinl Bayreuth 5/4 BBb. I got it from a local community player. He was able to attend the concert and hear it from the other end!

I’m a bit green with envy. The Bayreuth model is one I have always wanted to try but never had the opportunity.

I have tried the 6/4 behemoth, and it is something on another level. I could get used to it if it was in the budget. It is otherworldly. :teeth:

I played with the group for several seasons about 10 years ago, had to leave for scheduling reasons, then started back again last season. It's grown to about 90 people.

Gives me a new appreciation for:
Frank Herbert wrote: I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Point of order:

If i play in a tuba xmas, what is my group or section?

Likely i will let someone else do the honors, so they have to make those decisions...
