If there were plans to visit my mom in Grenada anytime soon I’d for sure be scratching pennies and driving down to meet Wade.
I’ve taken the CIty of New Orleans a couple of times to and from Chicago - NOLA and I can’t recall it stopping in Yazoo. A name you don’t forget! I do remember my one time ever within the City limits of Yazoo (back in the 1990’s) and laughing at the name pulling up to a stoplight on the highway on my way to South Padre Island Tx to use a friends house on the beachfront for a couple weeks. I had elected to drive vs flying from Chicago as I didn’t want to put a really expensive racing bicycle in the belly of a plane this time. By the time I got to that stoplight in Yazoo I had been on the road for way too many hours and you get pretty punchy driving non-stop from Chicago to Texas. I remember not being able to stop laughing about thinking what kind of Yahoo you would have to be to live in Yazoo. Sorry Wade I’m sure it’s a nice town and we know you’re no Yahoo.

The intersection looked like any other intersection along the way down there.
Well except Arkansas - where it appeared that nobody ever threw anything in the garbage - they just haul it out to the highway and put a for sale sign on it. A few years later of course...I ended up inheriting a house in the Trout Fishing Capital of the World (Cotter Arkansas) set on a bluff overlooking the White River and the magnificent Cotter Bridge built back in 1930. The first landmark in Arkansas to become a National Historic Civil Engineering Landmark one of only a few in the nation. It’s the longest concrete “Rainbow” arch bridge in the USA. Beautiful bridge and area. But there truly is some real poverty down there - almost like those people have been forgotten & left behind when the discussion is always focused on Northern big city poverty.

Here’s a Live Bridge cam

Bump for Wade and a very nice horn. A nice Vintage Mirafone that has been thoroughly gone through by someone who knows what they’re doing is hard to find and hard to beat. This horn will still be worth what you paid ten years from now - whereas a no brand Asian knock off with assorted maker name of the day on the bell for the same price may not be even functional ten years from now and certainly worth a fraction of what you paid.
