Re: ITEC 2025
I once posted long ago on that “other" forum that I was looking for an original lyre for my 185 for some upcoming standing gigs. Stated I knew it was a long shot for a horn built way back in 1969 in limited numbers. Dennis responded within a day and asked for my address. I asked him how much he wanted and he said nothing. I repeatedly pleaded with him to at least let me cover the cost of postage and his time to send it. He wouldn’t take it - just wanted to help out. It showed up a day later not by inexpensive mail, but FedX next day delivery. Nice guy - I was sad to hear of his passing - I had hoped to run into at some random music event to thank him in person.MiBrassFS wrote: Wed Apr 09, 2025 4:31 am That organization is much less ever since people like Dennis AsKew left the fold. He wanted them to consider non-“academics” as more of a core to the membership and much, much less of a distant afterthought. I still miss that guy and think of him often.
“An ITEC for you.”
