Holton sousaphone tuning bits

Post by bloke »

Someone advertised that they needed a pair of these. They can still be bought new (though that may seem a bit surprising),
but I have a pair or two of those here and I picked up one pair out of the bin last night that looks nice, thought I brought it in the house...

... BECAUSE...
wasn't there someone here who was looking for a pair of Holton sousaphone tuning bits? I looked through the wanted to buy forum, but didn't see that ad.

I'm thinking I've had these bits for quite a few years and have never needed them, so I'd be willing to sell them for a "bit" below my dealer cost. Again, they're pretty nice looking.

' looks as though someone - long ago - used them for a year or two, but never dropped them on the ground...

How does $50 + $10 for domestic Priority Mail sound?
(I can send a secure link to pay through Mrs. bloke's name/Mid-South Music, Inc.)
nearly $5 sales tax collected, if a Tennessee buyer...

This post is in the WRONG FORUM, but is actually a "reaching out" ad (can't find the person who wanted them.
I'd like to delete this post, once that person is found.

Yes, someone here was looking but not anymore. I have a neck and bits as well. New old stock and very nice. Seems like when you need them you can't find them (at a reasonable price), and if you have them, you can't sell them.

I once owned two vintage Holton sousaphones. Both were excellent players.

I have a set for both my Holton sousas.. I somehow ended up with 2 extra top bits (mouthpiece receiver). If someone has an extra bottom bit for a reasonable price I would buy one... Don't want to break up a saleable set though.
As amateur as they come...I know just enough to be dangerous.
