Hybrid ZO 4 piston valve tuba
Question: I've seen a few of the video's of folks playing these tubas. Has anyone here played one and if so what are your thoughts? I see they are available online at Brook-Mays.

You mean these things? In my estimation, they're by far the best "mini tubas", although in all fairness, they're quite a bit larger than the Wessex or MW ones. Way more tuba-ish sound, much better intonation, and they don't "blow back at you". They come in BBb, CC, Eb and F.

I think the hybrid 3/4 tuba is referring to this model:

Maybe this is the CC tuba I've been looking for. (must slap self and say NO!!)UncleBeer wrote: Mon Sep 01, 2025 10:33 am You mean these things? Unfortunately, ZO is doing a terrible job of distributing horns and making them available at conferences, etc. Not a great business model. The company's only 11 years old though.
