SOLD: Olds O-99 3v BBb $600

For sale is an Olds 3-valve BBb tuba in good shape. The original factory lacquer has darkened somewhat except on the tuning slides, giving this tuba a rather unique patina. Mechanically, the tuba is in good condition, with just a few dings here and there. Valve plating is close to 100%, all slides move well.

I have done a few minor repairs, including magnetic dent removal on the bottom bow, which scuffed away some of the old lacquer, and I also soldered the receiver back in place.

Asking $600, pick up in CT or around New England/NYC metro area east of the Hudson, or we can also arrange shipping.

Ok, we'll, I bought this. Picked it up from @arpthark today. Yeah, this will do. I see why people like this model so much. No problem getting a good sound.

@arpthark Dang! I just emailed you after seeing your post on TubeNet. Bummed I missed out on this one. PM me if you have any 3/4 or 4/4 Bb horns in your shop coming up for sale. I'd be interested and would pay for shipping. Looking for something in similar condition as that Olds. Love vintage, love patina, wanting something ready to play because I have no skilled repair guys near me.
