Very interesting. Can you tell us which etudes these are? Is it the piano accompaniments that are new or are they actually newly found Blazhevich etudes?

The etudes come from an old Russian tuba method by Blazhevich. We selected six of them, and my colleague Ola Ness wrote new piano accompaniments. The original tuba parts are from the book, while the piano parts are newly composed. I recorded everything and created a new edition based on this project.

Are these from the Textbook for Tuba in Bb? I much prefer that book over the 70 trombone studies.
I own the book from when Encore published it (obtained a copy from a local music store that had it on their shelf when dissertation shopping).
It is an old book by Blazhevich for tuba in Russian. Great exercises and lots of unaccompanied etudes.

That's really cool. When I was in school i didnt care for Blazhevich, but now i really enjoy them. I find them really helpful with improving my ability to switch between Bb and Cc tubas. Thank you so much for your hard work.
