Eastman 836, $10,500
Hello everyone,
I’m am selling my Eastman 836. This is an excellent horn, bought new in 2019 and selected from a batch of three. It has served me extremely well these last seven years, playing many wonderful concerts and on plenty of great recordings that I’d be happy to share with an interested buyer. The horn is in excellent condition, having just been serviced in March. The one modification I have made is having the valves un-vented. This has made tremendous improvements in its response and resonance! You won’t notice the slide pop, I promise, but if you don’t like it, it can be easily reversed. The horn comes with a green and grey Glenn Cronkhite bag and an Eastman hard case. The horn is located in Orlando, FL, and while I don’t want to ship, I am happy to meet folks in a reasonable middle location.
$10,500

How do you "unvent" pistons?? Fill the hole with solder??
As amateur as they come...I know just enough to be dangerous.

I had the great Todd Handley in Ft. Myers create little brass plugs and fit them perfectly into the vents. I’ve added a picture to the drive if you’d like to see how it turned out. It was a fantastic modification!
