A Christmas Wish

Post by edfirth »

I posted about this awhile ago but listed the wrong title. If you pull it up on Youtube the thumbnail reads The Great Rupert and Jimmy Durante's face is next to it but the actual title is A Christmas Wish. The tuba playing on the opening overture is tremendous. Obviously a big B flat but there's an extended solo that the actor is holding a top banger E flat later in the movie that is fairly amazing and goes and stays way up there throughout the tune. They don't list the player in the credits but they should. Also, Jimmy Durante and Terry Moore...you can't go wrong. Enjoy....or don't. Best to All, Ed

I just watched the first few minutes, and I'm laughing my as876 off. Just what I needed today. I'm watching the whole thing tonight. Oh, I'll listen for tuba, but mainly looking for some good ol' time light comedy. Thanks Ed. BTW, I think I'll skip the Odyssey and watch this one.
