attn: Frankentubists... King 2341 complete bugle - ideal for a 4/4 CC project

Post by bloke »

Included is the lower bell stack (probably not needed) and a shorter-than-King HOLTON small upper bow (lines up bore-wise - with the previous lower bow, AND shrinks down to a .750" bore), which defines less-than-usual bow-cutting to achieve CC bugle length. The HOLTON upper bow's dogleg will need to be cut-and-spun (assuming front-action use).

I have listed this on the Frankentuba page on fb with no price. I suppose I'd like to receive "hundred$$" for it (??), but I'm considering any/all offers for a week. The buyer pays FedExGround. I have an account, and will drop it off at a collection point - so the shipping cost will be as low as will be possible.

Email me (through next weekend) with your best offer.
If there are offers - and any of the offers seem worth my packing/shipping efforts, the highest (again: "worthwhile") offer will be selected.

The finish is the original one, and there are no cracks nor patches.
The bottom of the bottom bow is pushed in pretty good.

Based on the typical bell that would be paired with this bugle to make a C instrument…and the already shorter small upper bow, I would estimate that there might be only about eight or even fewer inches (depending on the location of the valveset, and the length of the mouthpipe) needed to be removed to shorten this bugle to C.
