Post by bisontuba »

This Tuba Tuesday the Museum features a BBb tuba with 3 pistons marked Abbott Mfg Co., New York, c. 1930.

“Abbott Mfg Co./ New York” on bell. Small garland engraved around identification marks.

From Horn-U -Copia: “Importers

There may be a connection between

Abbott Mfg. Co who were importers 1920-40 in New York

and

Buegeleisen & Jacobson who were dealers in New York, NY up to at least into the 1940s.”

Cool!

I like radial bell braces, as well as the shape of the finger tabs (pads?)!

And they get pretty close to top billing in alphabetical listings? What's not to like?

They seem to have been connected to a B&J, if not Buegeleisen & Jacobson...

If it’s tourist season, why can’t we shoot them?
