Some perspective distortion makes this not the best, but here is the Bayreuth vs Miraphone 191-5v gold brass:
I used the 191 for our Community Concert Band Holiday Concert in December. The depth of this instrument on 'Polar Express Suite' was amazing, but it doesn't quite have the breadth of the Bayreuth. Even then, my wind capacity was severely taxed on this number.

I still think we should use words like "Diffuse and Non-diffuse" when referring to a horn and instead of "bigger" (because it's relative with different people) we just say "that" horn is much taller, or that other one is much wider proceeding with a sound description.

There's not that much distortion, the height of the Rudy is incredibly taller. The 191 looks like an F tuba in comparison..that's amazing.
The Rudy 5/4 vs Holton 345 reminds me of how people are different sizes. A person who weights 300 lbs and is 5 1/2 feet tall will appear a lot different than a person who weighs 300 lbs and is 6 1/2 feet tall. Both are "big folks", but in different ways!

It's just like tubas --1) Who cares and 2) Plenty of room in the world for both!
Imagine filling people with liquid to measure capacity like someone mentioned they do for tubas to do determine size. Physics would certainly change.
Measuring a tuba by internal volume is a reasonable way to quantify size.
They approximate with people via BMI, and it sucks about as much as current manufacture sizing does. And the reason it sucks is because the useful measurement isn’t taken directly. Same as with tubas.

The Bayreuth model is one I definitely want to try one day.
