Getzen G baritone bell, a 3 valve King baritone valve set and a bunch of .562 tubing. My physical issues started to affect playing bass trombone so I wanted a valved substitute. It's in Eb so a cheap ($50) valve set gives me low Bb and A. JC Sherman built it for me and it has a long main slide in the back to tune on the fly. The intonation is actually very good, only off notes are the 5th partial. I want to get the bottom 1st valve slide trimmed so I can push for F, it's much faster than the big slide. I haven't found the right MP yet; I've been using a Josef Klier KBP 2C. Great low range bass trombone and euph mp but too small for me here. In hindsight .590 probably would have been better (but where to get a valve set?), this is a little stuffy and doesn't sound like me on bass trombone. I think a bigger mp will help.

I can't get my picture small enough to post so here it is on JC's site. 5th picture down.

If anyone's ever in NW Indiana and wants to try it, hit me up!

You can right click on the picture from the website, select "Copy Image Address" and then paste that between the [img] tags (I discovered this trick not too long ago and it's awesome!).

Very cool instrument, by the way! I've got a 3 valve block from an Eb tuba laying around I thought might be fun to turn into a cimbasso-thing someday....

Thank you! I wanted to post a picture I took, and not spam JC's face around. 🤣

That thing has to play better than its baby brothers: those King altoniums. Man, those things were wretched.
