Sousaphone floor stand. Found btw
[*]If anyone has a Sousa floor stand they’d be willing to part with let me know. I have this really nice 20k from the 30s/40s that I’d rather not have laying on the floor of my bedroom.

Re: Sousaphone floor stand
If someone has one used, those K&M "butterfly" stands (actually, a copy of a very old American design) can be used to sit beside the sousaphone reach through the donut, and comfortably play it without having to hold it.
(The neck has to be rotated to the left, and the bell has to be rotated to the right.)

Re: Sousaphone floor stand

Re: Sousaphone floor stand
Truth be told, I would probably be in the market for one (used cheap - either K&M or USA old old). I can imagine some jobs where I could be sitting down playing a sousaphone for a couple of sets, even though I'm addicted to my compensating E-flat with the recording bell.

I bought one of these and it’s worked great so far.

Re: Sousaphone floor stand
I hope you find a Sousa floor stand for your vintage 20k soon. Keeping it off the floor is a good idea!
