I've often wondered if Selmer USA had to buy everything that the F.E. Olds factory had (or did - even though they didn't have to - to make sure that the trumpets and trombones weren't made anymore...??), sold off all the trumpet and trombone tooling as scrap steel, and sold the leftover parts to Allied Supply (??).

Well everyone has already said what I was thinking. Sooo nope. I suppose competition isn't a bad thing though.
