Great Prokofiev Romeo & Juliet and Gershwin Summertime into Vivaldi Seasons.
Herr Brandstötter was his usual monster self and carried the group.
If you have to sell your firstborn ITS STILL CHEAP!

I seen the, 4 times, and had post show hangs 3 times. Will be seeing them again next week in New Jersey. Herr Branstötter has never made the hangs, while Herr Gansch, Professor Paul, and Zoltan Kiss have been quite social.
Longwood Gardens must have been a fantastic venue!

I saw them play in Chicago like 15 years ago. They are the loudest group I've ever heard, when the fanfare they were playing peaked I thought my brain had froze.
Well.... I just saw them last night. WOW!!! As the show went on they just got stronger and better. They did a couple of weird things, but as the tunes went on, they evolved into some very nice pieces.
Amazing talent, amazing technique, amazing ranges, amazing and effortless command of their instruments.
Terrific show. I don't know whether to be inspired to play better or just hang it up!!

What a great show! Of course, the director of the performing arts center booked them about 18 months in advance, and there ended up being a women's basketball game at the same time, so parking was nuts. But a stupendous show for the group's Connecticut premiere. One of the best concerts I've seen.

Wish i'd made it!
(and same thing happened at a tuba xmas i attended, conflicting with a women's basketball game, albeit if memory serves, UConn women's basketball program is also historically on par with Mnozil brass, so there is still balance? Alas, i have not followed as much sport as i used to)
I have a ticket for Mechanics hall tomorrow night...
