Wessex Linz

Post by Yodachihuahua »

Looking for an F tuba? I have a Wessex Linz for you. This tuba was my go to F for my undergrad and the beginning of my masters. I’ve since switched to a horn that fits my playing style better. This tuba is in great condition, with just a few dents from over the years (see photos). Would make a great F for someone looking for an affordable German-style rotor horn. Tuba is currently in central Arkansas. I would prefer not to ship, but can drive within a few hours to meet a buyer. Looking for $3000.

Have you had some good quintet experience(or maybe recordings?) with this horn? I'm curious if it's got the guts for that sort of setting. I do like smaller bells on bass tubas!

I have played this tuba in a variety of settings, including quintet and orchestra. In both it worked great.

I have sat next to Wes in our 20+ member tuba-euphonium ensemble at UCA and can confirm this horn can hold its own
