Up for sale is a King 2280 SP Legend Euphonium.

The euphonium was made in 2010 and is in excellent playing and cosmetic condition. The King 2280 SP is an excellent non-compensating euphonium that produces a great overall sound. The spring-loaded 3rd slide and extra long 4th pull slide allow for extended range and intonation adjustments. Top-action, nickel plated pistons provide smooth, quick action.

0.580" primary bore
4 valve top action
0.600" bore through 4th valve
11" upright bell
Nickel plated pistons
Nickel silver outside tubes
Spring-loaded 3rd slide with adjustable finger ring
Extra long 4th pull slide
Silver-plated finish
7619C plastic shell case
Non-compensating

The euphonium is located in Springfield, MA 01129.

I love these horns. So much so I was able to sell my prized and rare short action adams E3 and make the king my #1 euphonium

The valves are fast and light, the tone is great, the intonation is next to flawless, and the leadpipe is higher than every other euphonium (Great for adults)


Of course I added a 5th valve to mine, something Conn/selmer has no interest in doing. Really makes a great double for a tuba player

I owned an older lacquer one of these for several years and it was a very solid instrument. I also sold mine (not nearly as pretty as this one) for not much less than this. It seems to be priced pretty well.
