Do the first three valve slides of a YEP-201 euph fit a YEP-321?

Post by arpthark »

I need a YEP-321 first slide for this euph and I notice that a parts resale place has the 201 slides for considerably cheaper. Do they fit?

This one: mangled, chewed with pliers, pinhole in slide tube, 80% dented shut. Worth my time to deal with? Probably not.

yes...1-2-3 pistons as well.

With current production (for quite some time - after having had cheaped out) the #1 and #3 slides are also the same as each other.

Original Japanese production the #3 slide was much longer than #1 (yet all one would have to do to make a 3 into a 1 would be to cut the #3 tubes down).

This one has great valves and bell but, uh, "scholarized" tubing. Will be fixing it up best I can and listing it for sale soon at a very fair price.

It's an older purple/brownish logo model.

the worst part: I assume to mask a musty odor in the case, some enterprising person decided to remedy that by spraying it liberally with Axe Body Spray. Smells like my old high school locker room. :smilie6:

This is only $6 less than Allied Supply (new) and more expensive than Yamaha (new).
