TubaJoe Seattle

Post by Mark »

I played a gig in Seattle on Saturday night, August 17th. I saw a car in the parking lot with a Washington "Music Matters" license plate: TUBAJOE. Anybody know who that is?

Wasn't there some poor soul that played his tuba for years outside of athletic events in Seattle and got beat up by some reprehensible thugs, losing his life therefrom?

Yes. He died from that attack, as you suspected. That was decades ago. Very sad.

There's no way that Exley moved to Seattle from NYC, is there?

No. He would have said something about it online and I have not read anything like that.

Facebook says he checked in to a Manhattan pizza place a couple of days ago. Joe is a diehard New Yorker.

I guarantee you it ain't me.

- You will never find me there.
- I don't put stuff on my cars that reveal anything personal.
- All the other "tubajoe"s play enough better than me to brag about personal stuff on the backs of their cars.
- If I had the WA vanity plate fee of $209.25, I'd use it to pay of debt.
