You're not the only one. Somebody in Europe has a rotary baritone FS. Look up the recent discussion we had about various models we have owned.

Doing a few searches, I found this Mirafone 56L at Baltimore Brass. If you're not looking to spend a lot, you'll be hard pressed to find a better deal.

I left a 4 valve older Alexander tenor tuba at Martin Wilk's shop some time ago. He still has it, as I never followed up with having him start cleaning it up and have kind of forgotten about it. You could ask him what he thinks it's worth and I'd probably sell it.

Here it is before I dropped it off. Keep in mind I'm a tuba player who doesn't play much euph.

Many of these seem to have the same intonation characteristics as many of the kaiser B-flat tubas, whereby open D is good, D-flat begins to sag, first valve C is a problem, and then B-natural (by adding a valve) is slightly less of a problem than C. Other kaiser baritone tuning quirks also seem to mirror the big kaiser BB-flats.

It's sort of like the old Besson euphonium intonation characteristics and the big compensating BB-flat tubas from the same era both featuring octave E-flats which are too far apart. It's as if they made complete copies of the sister instrument, except the length and size.

I contacted Mr Wilk and did not hear anything back.
Wessex just had a one-day slight sale on some stuff, and I looked at the customer feedback for their Kaiser baritone and decided just nope.

I admit Martin can be a bit hard to get in touch with. You probably called the number on his website, which is what I'd recommend over email.

It may be worth what is being asked, but it is filthy and has leadpipe dents. Nope.
