I just completed thirty-two years in my orchestra and quintet. However, I also just completed forty years of making music for a living.
I have diabetes, but I celebrated with a small chocolate milkshake after my gig today. I feel a little crappy right now, but I'm most definitely smiling.
I consider myself to be a fairly fortunate fellow.

I plan to do something productive as long as I can, and - if I no longer can - I'm sort of hoping it I'll no longer be around. (Maybe that's a weird attitude, but it makes sense to me.)

Another 32 and you’ll have passed this super nice guy who just retired after 63 years continuous years as principal. Just an amazing career. Last of the CSO Brass legends. All those guys had long playing careers.
