That looks like a 6/4 Mammoth to my eye… Put in a few bids but $1K is too much for me to spend on a tuba I have zero need for!

Serial number places it as 1924. Looks like it's one of these:

It's the 'Medium' Holton BBb --> similar valveset bore and bell & body size to the 'Monster' Eb.
Not the big 6/4 Mammoth. Still a pretty cool old tuba.

If I’m not mistaken (happens all too often), pretty similar to what @bloke started with.
Some old Yorks, Martins, and perhaps a King rotary valved CC

Hey! That's my tuba! My horn was made in 1916 in Chicago. A great horn if you have an iron lung and a huge air compressor to help you fill it. :facepalm2: :tuba:
