That looks like a 6/4 Mammoth to my eye… Put in a few bids but $1K is too much for me to spend on a tuba I have zero need for!

Serial number places it as 1924. Looks like it's one of these:

The one for sale has 19 inch bell.

It sold for over $2k .....

It's the 'Medium' Holton BBb --> similar valveset bore and bell & body size to the 'Monster' Eb.
Not the big 6/4 Mammoth. Still a pretty cool old tuba.

If I’m not mistaken (happens all too often), pretty similar to what @bloke started with.

Look at the crispness and attention to detail on the drawing of the engraving (when you zoom in)! Incredible.

Hey! That's my tuba! My horn was made in 1916 in Chicago. A great horn if you have an iron lung and a huge air compressor to help you fill it.
